and obviously making a good club song doesnt mean jack when it comes to talent either...
Can you do it sucessfully? Better yet has Nas done this sucessfully?
How about Q-Tip? Matter of fact, how bout Ice Cube, who dropped a classic with Amerikkkas Most Wanted ? Did he make a good club song that was successful?

hip hop is dead because of the people. No rapper is responsible for a dying hip hop. When artist like mos def, common and Talib don't go platinum don't blame 50 cent for marking to the masses that eat up commercial rap. It's the people they live for this stuff. But honestly all hip hop cannot be serious the bubble gum hip hop is what mixes things up. Its just that real lyrics don't sale and buble gum blows ups

ignorance is bliss. not that i can get into the whole skateboarding sh*t myself, but i'm at least open-minded enough to accept the idea of different representations of hip hop. before nwa took it over and made hip hop gangsta rap, it was an open freedom of expression regardless of how "street" you are. the last time i checked...heavy d, kid n play, fresh prince, das efx, leaders of the new school, tribe called quest, and many other artists weren't considered "gangsters". somehow that sh*t got lost over the years and now it seems the only way people can accept you is if you have a criminal background. get the fucc outta here
Times change lil girl. You can't expect something to be "fly" forever. Either grow with it, or cry about the past while you're listening to "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" theme looped on your computer.

50 would be stupid to directly diss Nas. 50 may sell more records due to cross over appeal but Nas has way more respect.

[nas isnt going to save hip-hop, go do your nasir jones history and you will understand why.]

more fans, a new generation of fans.
how rakim,LL,too short,big daddy kane,krsetc,etc is to me/us

nas,wu-tang and them n*ggas is to the new generation [of listeners]

who the fu*k wanna hear them old n*ggas rap about irrelevant sh*t?
change with the times or get left.

and this is why the young dudes still can bang some jay-z,busta,dre,cube,e40 or ghostface them n*ggas kept themselves relevant

Hip hop is dying because the biggest sellin' rapper 50 is a snitch, he's also a fake gangsta, and tries to rap like he's supergangsta, which he's not. Real gangsta's don't need police and federal marshall escorts. People are selling themselves out for a buck, which was never the american way. Hip hop sucks right now, there hasn't been too many classic albums this year, in my opinion, just one wack cat after the other, it's not even about the music these days, it's about the promotion, and who raps about selling the most crack.

i dont understand why people say snap music k!lled hiphop, or hyphy is k!lliing hiphop. If anything its the hard cats who cant have fun k!lling hiphop. they just having fun doing what they do. whats wrong with making a song about laffy taffy? or a song about snappin ur fingaz. These are songs about having fun and that is not wrong at all.

I aint sayin i like laffy taffy or chicken noodle soup, but if somebody does, more power to them. Its better for young kids to hear a song about chicken noodle soup, no matter how stupid it is, than it is for kids to hear about shootin somebody up and sellin keys all the time.

oh yea i almost forgot , walk it out be bangin. i dont kno what u heard

you just made my point, dumbass.....you're RIGHT about needing to grow with the times. so take your own advice and grow with the fact that a "skateboard" n*gga is more lyrical then your favorite artists.

i dont think that hip hop is dead. it would never be what it was in the 90s but hip hop is more popular than ever. it k!lls me how back in the day when n*ggas like big daddy kane was doin it & artists used to complain that hip hop wasnt getting any exposure and no one cares. sh*t, at the grammys they didnt even televise our sh*t. they would wait til the commercials. jay was da 1st n*gga to protest. to say that hip hop is dead cuz of 50 is bullsh*t. if 1 artist k!lled hip hop then what would that say about hip hop? a lot of people here dont really know what they are talking about and just like 2 be heard
