It ain't only ACC refs homie though I do think y'all have the worst refs on the real, think back to that game with UF/FSU in 03 where they totally fu*ked the Gators out of the game. The Gators constantly get fu*ked by the refs and for some reason I don't think the SEC officials ever learned how to spot a ball correctly. If they had spotted the ball right for us when UF stopped Hester and LSU on 4th and 1 we would have won that fu*king game. The other day against Vandy we caused a fumble and ran that bi*ch back 99 yards for a TD and they said Vandy's QB broke the plane which was obvious not true. I know we won the game and sh*t but seriously the Gators get fu*ked by the refs more than any college team I've seen. Oh and Derrick Harvey been held ALL YEAR.

Miami gets fu*ked too, like that PI call against OSU back in 03, that sh*t was terrible.

Miami QB Marve working through 'personal problems,' will remain on team

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) -- Miami freshman quarterback Robert Marve is working through some "personal problems" that the university will help him handle, coach Randy Shannon said Sunday.

Marve was charged last week with resisting arrest without violence and minor criminal mischief after he broke the mirror off a car and briefly tried to evade police on foot in the Miami neighborhood of Coconut Grove. Both charges are misdemeanors.

"With Marve, he's really got some personal problems," Shannon said. "We talked about it and at least the kid is being upfront and honest with me about things. ... He's talked to me, I've talked to his parents and we're all on the same page, the parents, the kid and myself."

Marve has not been available for comment since the arrest was announced.

Marve, who has been running the scout team offense in practice in recent weeks, will remain on the Hurricanes' roster. He has not played this season because of injuries sustained in a car crash in July. Marve is expected to receive a medical redshirt and will likely challenge to be Miami's starting quarterback next season.

He was charged late Wednesday after becoming upset for an unknown reason and breaking the mirror, not aware that an officer was nearby and saw the incident. Marve tried to run away, then was caught and later signed a promise to appear in court. He was not taken to jail.

Marve met with Shannon the next morning. Shannon said he could not discuss the nature of the personal issue or what discipline Marve may face from the team or the university.

"It's my job and the university's job to help the kid out," Shannon said. "I think sometimes what we do is we just throw kids to the wolves instead of helping them. So we're going to help the kid out."

Marve was one of the most sought-after quarterbacks in the country last season, after leading Tampa Plant High to a state Class 4A championship.

He set state records with 280 completions, 48 touchdowns and 4,380 passing yards as a senior, winning Florida's "Mr. Football" award.

Peerman out for season, may need surgery on right foot

Virginia coach Al Groh said Monday night that leading rusher Cedric Peerman will miss the rest of the season and will probably undergo surgery to repair his injured right foot.

Peerman, who was the ACC's leading rusher with 585 yards and five touchdowns when he was hurt in a 23-21 win over Middle Tennessee State on Oct. 6, has missed the No. 19 Cavaliers' (No. 23 AP) last four games.

"He was leading the conference in rushing when he got hurt, but he was more than that," Groh said. "Lots of guys can carry the ball and do it effectively, but there are a few backs that kind of carry the flag for the team. ... They energize and excite everyone around them with their energy and their toughness. Cedric was the right back for this team. He wasn't going to be a Heisman Trophy winner and there are more spectacular backs, but he was the perfect back for this team."

Without Peerman, Virginia has relied heavily on quarterback Jameel Sewell and former receiver Mikell Simpson in the running game. They combined to carry the football 25 times in Saturday's 17-16 win over Wake Forest; no other Cavailers player ran the football in the game.

Virginia (8-2) has won eight of its last nine games and is in first place in the ACC's Coastal Division standings with a 5-1 record in conference play. The Cavailers play at Miami on Saturday, the Hurricanes' last game in the Orange Bowl.

Virginia closes the regular season Nov. 24 against No. 11 Virginia Tech at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, Va.

"We all feel bad for Cedric, but we're moving on," Groh said. "We don't talk about it and we don't whine about it. Every team has guys that get hurt. Why talk about it all the time?"
