Get a bigger, broader chest in 6 weeks with this routine!
 

 
What I'm posting here is a 6 week chest workout, in which you will be working the chest twice per week and other bodyparts just once. This workout is designed for anyone who would like to boost their chest, or find they aren't gaining much results with their current chest workout. But try this and keep me posted on how you are getting on. What it consists of is 2 days on training, 1 day off, 2 days on training and then 2 days off, so here is the programme.

Day 1: Chest & Shoulders

Flat bench barbell press: Sets: 5. Reps: 12,10,6,6,8
Smith-machine decline press: Sets: 3 Reps: 10,6,6
Incline Dumbell Press: Sets: 3 Reps: 8,8,12
Dip Sets: 3 Reps: To failure.
Pec-deck Flye Sets: 3 Reps: 10,10,10

Then do your normal shoulder routine.


Day 2: Back & Biceps. Normal routines.

Day 3: Rest

Day 4: Chest & Triceps.

Incline barbell press Sets: 5 Reps: 12,8,8,8,10
Flat bench dumbell flye Sets: 3 Reps: 10,10,10
Incline bench cable flye Sets: 3 Reps: 12,12,12
Parallel bench push-up Sets: 2 Reps: To failure

Do your normal tricep routine

Day 5: Legs. Normal legs routine.

Day 6 & 7: Rest.


If you notice, there is 2 days of rest before the chest and shoulder workout and one day of rest before the chest & triceps workout. Because when doing a muscle group like your chest, it is best to be at your strongest.

I used this routine and had good results, that's why I'm recommending it. If you need any help, let me know.

I'm not saying do it for 6 weeks and then STOP. It is a 6 week routine that emphases the chest and once this programme is over you can go back to your old routine. This routine has worked for me, giving me bigger pecs than I had. Try it for 6 weeks and then go back to your old routine.

hey man ill prop you for this but i think i got a strait routine..
db for 4 sets
smith incline for 4 sets
pec flies 4 sets
db incline 4 sets
and pushups

i been doing double sets ( i think there called supersets?) like 2 of the above right after each other then resting...doing it again, rest...and so on...

what i had a question was how can i get that tight lower chest that you would get doing DEclines....my lil gym in my apartment dosnt have a decline bench....anyone got any suggestions?

u really need a decline bench if you can borrow one or whatever to hit the bottom of your chest. try an buy a bench that can incline/decline sort of thing.
