this was the year when everyone thought that T-Mac and Vince Carter was the next Jordan and Pippen... and Raptors were deemed the most exciting team in basketball with 4-5 alley oop plays every game

how i miss those days

Chris Bosh + Charlie Villanueva = Vince Carter + T-Mac
plus we got a 1st pick and Bosh is still younger than when Vince came into the L as a rookie and CB4's going into his 4th season. That was T-Mac's 3rd year aswell, its going to be Charlie's 2nd. But yeah that team was good, the Trailblazers were good as well and yeah the lakes won that many games with those 2 players.

these teams were beasts...seems like they're watered down today compared to back then. I remember that being between the Blazers and the Lakers. Rasheed was giving it to em'

these teams look ridiculous on paper (for ex. jermaine o'neal on blazers bench, peja on kings bench, baron davis on hornets bench) because we are biased by hindsight. none of the players then were anything like they are now, or those teams would have not been able to keep all of those players. this years rosters could look just as amazing to us in 6 yrs. danny granger and shaun livingston and a bunch of other young players comin off the bench could both turn out to be monsters, and we'll all be lookin at the rosters talkin about how amazing they were...
