My Amp and Sub just stopped working!!! HELP ME

i was listening to some music off my ipod that runs with my alpine cda9857 and the amp and sub were working alright, then it suddenly stopped about 6 minutes later. i wasnt really playing it too loud because its raining hard where i live. earlier this week, they stopped but it was because i blew the fuse, which i fixed that same day. but i looked at the new fuse i put in, and its not blown. so currently my headunit, speakers, capacitor, all work fine, but the amp and sub arent working. i hope that the amp and sub arent shot (how do u tell if they are shot?), they are a soundstream van gogh amp and a kicker 12 inch comp-vr. does anyone know any troubleshooting?

chec all your wiring, also what kind of fuse are you using, if your using agu then the fuse can still be fu*ked up but look ok. i've have a couple of my old agu fuses burn out right at the end caps and you couldn't tell unless you tested em with a multimeter. also check the fuse/s on the amp. check to make sure you have a good ground

Sounds like your remote wire got cut off / loose somewhere. Everything is getting power except for the amp and the subwoofer. I'd trace the remote wire.

get a 120 anl fuse. you can get em at just about any car audio shop or online, you will need an anl holder though. but the question is do you really need it. what does the amp recommend for a fuse?

do you have the owners manual, it should say how many amps it will draw and the recommended fuse you should use
