it's just a matter of opinion. we grew up in the jordan era so it's hard to see anyone mentioned in the same breath as mj. but if you really look at it, when kobe finally retires from the game he will be mentioned in the same breath. he may not have as many rings as mike, but his ability to score relentlessly as a perimeter player is on par with him. if you can't see that then you just allowed the legend of mj to grow beyond the player himself.

10 scoring titles....7 in a row...end of discussion..call me me when kobe gets 5 and we can have a debate..until then he ain't sh*t compared to jordan

Think about what you are saying, he is not lazy he does work his a.ss off on the court....

Now what would that equate to?? Him not being able to keep it up.

You can't compare a Center to a SG, Center's last longer in the league then any other position, and even Shaq is on the decline of his career right now.

Like I said 4 more good years for Kobe maybe 2 weaker seasons after that.

SHAQ IS DEF. KNOWN FOR BEIN LAZY, BUT THATS BESIDE THE POINT, YOU GOT YOUR OPINION, I GOT MINES........KOBE WILL PROVE ONE OF US WRONG IN THE FUTURE, AND I HAVE A GOOD FEELIN IT'S GON BE YOU.....ESPECIALLY IF HE READS THIS,HAHAHA, YOU KNOW HOW HE GET WHEN SOMEBODY SAY HE CANT DO SOMETHIN.....OH YEAH LOOK DOWN

In light of all the Kobe vs. Jordan posts going on here...

I personally think Jordan is better than Kobe as of now, but some of the Jordan d*ckriders are saying stupid fu*king sh*t (like Jordan's supporting cast was average at best)

CHECK THE fu*kING STATS

1993-94 Chicago Bulls (WITH NO JORDAN ALL YEAR)
55-27, 2nd Place in the East

How is a team that is supposedly composed of only average role players finish 2nd in their conference without their star? Do you think that the Lakers minus Kobe would be 2nd in their conference? They'd be the worst team in the league. I even saw someone say Scottie Pippen sucked? He average 22+ ppg, 8+ rpg, 5+ apg without Jordan.

I just want people to think before they post.

Kobe Huggers, its very simple.

1. Jordan won the last 6 titles in seasons he played.
2. One of the greatest defenders ever (Kobe will NEVER be on his level)
3. Never had a true center
4. Shaq was the man on those title teams, not Kobe
5. Jordan was loved and revered by all, Kobe is hated by most, loved by some

Whoever says that about the Bulls is full of sh*t... that was the best cast period... None of the powerhouse teams now would do that good with their Star player gone... Pistons Minus Rasheed or Ben= No Rings, Spurs minus Duncan=No ring, Mavs Minus Dirk= trash.... Those Bulls teams were hot because they could do it without the major piece to their puzzle... they still were a force...

to all the retards out there who say kobe is better.. lets jus compare accomplishments.. and put an end to this garbage... kobe's had his ONE breakout yr and ppl are goin off comparin em to MJ... if anyone is going to do this at least wait til the END of kobe's career and wait to see his accomplishments...

MICHAEL JORDAN
1 - Rookie of the Year
1 - Defensive Player of the Year
5 - NBA MVP Award
6 - Championship Rings
6 - Finals MVP
3 - NBA All-Star Game MVP
10 - Scoring Champ

kobe bryant
3 - Championship Rings (shaq had a BIG role in this)
1 - Scoring Champ (for this year)
1 - All-Star MVP

the whole comparison thing is ridiculous... all ya'll kobe lovers can hate all u want... the great oscar robinson said it, "numbers don't lie".. and i kno kobe has a lot of years left but he is FAR behind... now do u ppl really think he will come close to what MJ accomplished?!.. if any of u had the priveledge of watchin jordan play and the way he took over a game this thought would never enter ur heads... and i kno kobe can do it but not the way jordan did...

EZ

I can see Kobe being greater than Jordan over the course of his whole career. It's stiil of kind of early and it's kind of hard to imagine a player greater than Jordan considering the Jordan era it still fresh in most people's mind. Lets see what happens after Kobe plays another 8 or 9 years. He is only 27 and he's in his 10th season. He could possibly when another 2 or 3 rings maybe a a few more scoring titles and maybe 2 Mvp awards. Now that he doesn't have Shaq the option to score is always there. The only thing that seperates the greats from the good players is your ability to win. That is what made Jordan so great. If Jordan wasn't winning we wouldn't be having this conversation. Look at football. Joe Montana is legendnary because he has 4 Superbowl rings. In all sports if want to be talked about as the best ever you have win championships. Jordan won 6 in a 9 year period.
