You know I was thinking about getting a 40 cal.
You say it destroyed the Glock Toture test? that got my attention, but what REALLY got it was "Cost Considerably less"

Is this the same Springfield your talking about? I got my Glock 45 for a little over 500 beans...

You got a link or something I can peep? The last Springfields I looked at weren't cheaper than my Model 21

GOOD GUNS. IVE OWNED ONE AND GLOCKS. PASSED THE SAME TORTURE TEST & SHOT ABOUT THE SAME GROUPS. CHEAPER THOUGH.

fairly new, so not as familiarized as the glocks, but they've got plenty of accesories ready

the tactical rail alone is an added edge
you can get it from the gate, with the removable light / laser combo, or just the light......cost about an extra 100

night sights are extra as well, which i dont think is offered through them
but i advise getting some
otherwise, the gun is basically useless in the night.

XDs offered in 45 as well, with i think
about 12 bullets available in the magazine.
only available in the 4 in or 5 in service model i think though
i got the sub-compact for concealable use.
extended grip comes with the high cap, if you get the proper package

mine came with a lock, 2 mags, and 1 high cap mag, and a holster.
holster isn't bad.
i upgraded to a leather one though.
comes with magazine holders as well.

nice package.
the 40 cal package came out to something like.....540$

nice gun though. only issue i've had thus far, is that i've noticed a spring on one of the mags has worn weak.....and it doesn't chamber the round flawlessly each time
sometimes it catches.

all it needs is a replacement spring thoug, and it should be fine i guess.
not a bad gun at all for it being their first experiment into the polymer type.
i see great guns coming from them in the future.

Yea They Sell Them Direct With Night Sights. The 45 Comes With 13 Round Mags. The Recoil Is Reduced Because The Guide Rod Has Dual Rod Setup That Works Really Well. That Was A Good Idea They Came Up With.

Nah no site will sell direct online to a person with just a FOID card....you gotta have the sellers license in order to buy online and ship to your home. Otherwise, they ship directly to your nearest dealer (which still isnt bad if you have a relationship with the dealer and they dont tax you for the transaction since your cutting into their profit by not buying from them)

yea, those federal firearm licenses are a bi*ch, cus some of these dealers rip you on importing sh*t.

if your into guns, its a MUST that you get in good with someone who owns one. lol.
your best bet though, is to check your local gunstore.
they are more than likely to have them.
maybe only the 9mm version, or full size, b ut you can have them order what you want

its easier that way
they offer you warranties and sh*t through them too, as well as one that springfield offers, should yours be defective

and i got a limited edition i guess?
mine came with a holster, 2 mags, 1 high cap mag, and the basic sh*t.
and um.
the accessory rail is already on the gun.
it's not an upgrade.

i disagree. it doesn't even offer .45 caliber. the xd offers .45 GAP and .45 ACP

the sub compact is a concealable gun. in the city of philly, you have to have it concealed at all times unless your using it in self-defense, and a full size pistol isn't easy to conceal, nor always comfortable.....exceptions for shoulder holster possibly. the M & P isn't much of a self-defense gun. it's more so tactical. the XD comes with no external safety, so you can pull it and go to work when your life depends on it, and it's also passed the glock torture test, which is saying something.

the M&P seems like a nice gun, don't get me wrong, but i don't think it's even comparable to the sub-compact.

on the full-size level, i still think the full size XD (4 in, or 5 in.) would perform better, but.....i guess it's all personal preference.

i do like the internal lock system on the M & P though.
that's a nifty fu*kin idea.
the interchangeable grips is nice too, but once again, its a service gun.
cant compare it to self-defense when you need to conceal.
