LIONS??? ANYTHING??

Damn you Millen!!!!
Lions are lookin for a backup QB or someone to compete for starting job. We'll be interviewing Josh McCown, Jon Kitna, Patrick Ramsey, maybe even Kerry Collins and Drew Brees, but Brees will want some loot.

what makes u think jamal lewis wants the money? he probably wants the first ticket outta baltimore.. chester taylor took less money from minnesota then what baltimore offered to leave

chester taylor is overrated. maybe he wanted a starting role.
there arent too many teams willing to pay what jamal wants. ravens need an o line desperately

Home again: Jamal Lewis agrees to new Ravens deal
By John Clayton
ESPN.com

Less than 12 hours after the Ravens replaced Chester Taylor with Mike Anderson, Jamal Lewis got what he wanted -- a chance to return to Baltimore.

The office of Lewis' agent, Mitch Frankel, confirmed Lewis accepted a three-year deal to stay in Baltimore. Terms of the deal were unavailable because Frankel was on a flight this morning.

Lewis was planning to go to Denver for a visit and start to find another team but he kept in touch with the Ravens. Finally, after 24 hours of negotiations, going back and forth between short-term and long-term deals, Lewis accepted a three-year deal to stay and will have a conference call with the media later this afternoon.

The Titans will have an 11:00 am press conference to announce they have reached an agreement with former Patriots WR David Givens. Givens, 25, was New Englandís second leading receiver last season with 59 catches for 738 yards and two touchdowns.
Wide receiver David Givens agreed to a five-year contract with the Titans and is expected to sign the deal Tuesday. "I am definitely leaning toward the Titans, you can say that," Givens told the Tennessean. "I like the system they have and the ideas that they have as far as utilizing me as a player. It seems like a good fit." Givens' asking price is believed to have been $25 million over five years, and the Titans came within about $1 million of that, according to TitansRadio.com, so it appears all that's left is to dot the i's and cross the t's. "Of course nothing is finalized and it really doesn't matter until he signs something on the dotted line," Titans GM Floyd Reese told the Tennessean. "But I think as far as negotiations and talks, that has all been pleasant.'"

More Titan News

Make it three free agents, the Titans signed wide receiver David Givens and agreed to terms with center Kevin Mawae Tuesday morning.

''I think David again is the prime candidate for free agency,'' General Manager Floyd Reese said. ''He's young, he's healthy, he's productive, he is as classy as anyone you will want to meet. Will be a leader on our team and to top it all off, he's got more Super Bowl rings than he's got fingers for."

Givens and Mawae make it three free agents in three days for Tennessee. The announcement came this hour at Baptist Sports Park.
