2nd round pick for a pro bowl franchise quarterback isn't a steal
"Franchise" QB is a term used on a player who hasn't been drafted yet, but is such a bright prospect you could build your franchise around.

"Franchise" QB is not a term used on a QB who is coming off of a MAJOR knee injury and had one of the worst possible years you could have when he did start last year. Culpepper is a HUGE risk. Face it. 2nd round pick for a player who may never return to the form he displayed in 2004 is a HUGE risk.

The Dolphins are rolling the dice and praying they don't crap out. But the odds are stacked against them.

i cant believe what im readin

this was a steal

how often do franchise qb's go on the market?

how often can you get one for a 2nd round pick?

how often does your 2nd round pick end up being a bonafied star player?

the answer to those questions is not often at all

culepper is proven -- you've seen what he can do, the guy is a freak

given he has a serious injury, but those things heal

face it, it was a steal

culpepper >>> anybody the dolphins would've drafted in the 2nd round

let's see who the vikings draft with that 2nd rounder in 2007 and see how that pans out

then come and talk to me

Jon kitna aint doing nothin in detroit. They should have waited for aaron brooks to be released and went after him. Plus they aint doing nothin with any qb unless they address that offensive line which is bleeding pretty bad.

^^^ i disagree jon kitna is a serviceable starter. you forget the season he had two years ago when kitna was named the comback player of the year. and you gotta remember, this isn't the running back position, at 33 kitna still has about 4 really porductive years left.
did you forget the bad seasons hes had? dude is a good back up at the most.

up until that amazing year kitna had two seasons ago, i would have to agree with you. but i'm saying that if kitna was benched for carson palmer unfairly (even though the move worked out in the long run) then his stock may have risen even more. in any case, he's BETTER than harrington's bi*ch a.ss
