Do girls drink protein shakes? If they do is it to tone up cuz obviously I dont want to get big i just want to be more toned and i also heard they keep you less sore. When do you drink them? Im also 120 right now actually 122 i want to lose some more of the wieght till i see my abs how much should i drink and what brand do you suggest for me? propz for any help - i want lean toned muscles lol dont want to gain bulky muscle lol

protein shakes are alright for girls... it's jsut protein.. and well, to be lean, you gotta cut carbs and take your protein.. if you don't want to take protein shakes.. jsut change your diest, cut fats, cut carbs, take your protein.

but if you are gonna drink protein shakes... take it after your workout... bes time for your muscles to soak up the protein to heal your ripped muscles. and yes it'll help your soreness.

brand? no need for brand names... whey protein is whey protein in any kind of brand.. get the cheapest. it's the best kind! hahaha.

Yes girls do take protien shakes...There is a few at my job who drink Whey Protien shakes....they also take Meal Replacements from EAS.... Myoplex Lite
is the brand that they use.

They use it 2 times a day for 5 days out the week (she says she loosens the reins a lil one the weekends)

She takes 1 in between breakfast and lunch and 1 for late night after dinner

She counts calories she said that is her main focus.
She pops a protien shake before goes and works out but she does it only on her lifting days and she works out like 4 to 5 days out the week.

Ok first off.. you do not need protien shakes.... there mainly to help build muscle you dont want to build it your just trying to loose weight to have toned muscles... I suggest some cardio such as skipping for about 15 mins a day on an empty stomache... so probably in the morning... Also stay away junk food and other really fatty foods, maybe just eat a tin of tuna a day, or an egg omelete (No yolks) for breakfast (bonus right after workout :) ) but skipping is the best type of cardio ... If you are lifting weights but only plan to lift to get lean, i recommend doing 3 x 15 reps.... on a lighter weight, this would most likely help.

Oh yeah try to keep the cardio at about 70% max heart rate... if its much higher or lower it will be burning muscle as well.. so keep that in mind... to figure out your heart rate just do excercise as hard as you can (full power)for a bit then stop and count how many are in 10 seconds, times it by 6... (Or for more accurate count the whole beats in 60 seconds) ... now that is your max heart rate.. make sure when your doing cardio try to keep it in 70% range.. just stop excercising and check and try to keep it at that power kinda thing... :P hope that also helped

Prolly not the best usually i work the LATE Shift so im up till like 5am and dont get up till noon i usually only eat once a day around 6ish (and a few snaks usually a banana lol) i have acid reflex so i cant eat alot ne way or i feel bad and i only drink water when i eat my meal it will be whatever like hot, hambuger, spagetti, ect. with a salad or just a big salad
