Diversification is a thing. Dont put your all your eggs in one basket
Microsoft should of let devs dev to opt in or out of gamepass
So first gamepass is a non factor they said and will fail, now they say its killing the industry because its successful lol is it oochie wallie or one mic
" Only the gamers like it because the offer is too good to be true, but eventually even gamers will hate it when they realize the effects on the games.
Studios were already releasing half baked money grabs well before gamepass. Personally I love gamepass, half these games I play I wouldnt look twice at for regular asking prices.

The gaming industry is struggling because everyone is trying to create AAA games, but they often fail. This is largely because most players are focused on popular titles like Call of Duty, Madden, FIFA, NBA 2K, College Football, Minecraft, World of Warcraft, Overwatch, Marvel Rivals, Fortnite, and GTA Online.
I view Game Pass as similar to paying for online access, as it provides entry to games from Bethesda, Microsoft Gaming, and ABK Games. Without it, I would only purchase titles like Madden, NBA 2K, College Football, and Call of Duty.
It seems that nobody outside of the hardcore gaming community is buying games, and even many of them primarily purchase first-party titles from Sony or Nintendo. Recently, however, they've also started buying more Xbox games for other consoles. If you're not Take-Two or EA, your best strategy may be to focus on developing AA games. Hell Kojima isnt even selling like that with Death Stranding 2. People are waiting for College Football 26 they aren't studying that sh1t even with that high Metacritic.
These big studios need to stop doing open world everything. Some games would be way better as a level or even semi open. But no, they want the player to play for hundreds of hours instead which will make the player burn out
