So P and Baby really are similar… that’s why they can’t get along. Hustler try hustling a hustler
5.8 nah that’s cap
Right they never generated that much revenue!
5.8 nah that’s cap
If it's $5.8m in today's money, how much was that between 1993-1999? She might not be lying
Almost every artist from No Limit were cheated somehow even his own brothers got cheated because they put so much trust in P's word. They didn't know about the business behind the scenes like publishing, royalties, licensing, etc. coming fresh from the projects in their late teens early 20s
Here's the Master P's shuffle playbook: Once he signs you, you don't get a big cash advance, the most Ive seen that he gave was $5k. He'll provide that artist a house either in Baton Rouge or Slidell as a lease or option to buy placing those homes under the No limit banner (He owns those homes building his own business profile for more equity down the line to borrow capital against the label just in case. If that artist want to get that home from him, it'll depend on the sales of that album, merchandise and touring). A car or truck thats already paid for (KLC, Fiend, Mr. Serv On & my cousin from ghetto commission all had surburbans back then), A voucher for The No Limit Chain from Mr. Goldmans on Canal Street (right before Jacob & Co. set up shop in Canal Place) or a Rolex but here's how he get you in order to pay it all back:
50% Royalties
100% Publishing for a certain amout of years
20% - 40% of the Merchandise depending on the popularity
100% use of likeness (Thats why you saw some of the artists with promo but no album and very few outside features without the OK from P)
Clearing the samples, he still had people out there in Sacramento that can clear the samples for him that be out in L.A. During that time, the average budget was $250k for new artists and it goes up from there. The part where P made his bread is what all the artist get just for signing with him That I described earlier was no less than $50k total. He kept the remaining $200k+ that Solar, then Priority, then Universal, then Koch gives him for every artist that he had on the roster. Most of the artists left is because of conflict of interest obviously, only a few knew the business side of what they was getting cheated out of later on
Mia's people may be telling the truth. Some of the guys that aint saying much about it yet guest appearing for his shows is because of the opportunities and connections they made themselves due to P's help despite what happened, they created history for the city. P had so many lawsuits on him even after filing for bankruptcy twice, downsizing and other dramas, some feel like they have no hope nor chance to ever get what they actually owed (Lawyers cost, auditors cost, accountants, taxes, etc.)
Wack100 lie about a lot of sh1t,but I don't think he was lying about this
That 5.8 must be a CRAZY misunderstanding that grew legs within her circle because this sh1t ain't addin up.
Her only certed album is gold(meaning no less than 500k but not a million sold)so it'd have to be all three going platinum for it to make sense but even then that'd mean she basically made NOTHING from them.
P is usually on the wrong side of arguments but this may be one of the times he might not be so off if sh1t like this is being saidthis has to be explained
Right they never generated that much revenue!
People saying she lying about 5.8 are crazy No Limit were going gold and platinum every month even their lower tier artists were selling good and mind you this the era when CD's was a thing if they selling at $15 to $20 a CD and Mia X was a top tier artists her second album went gold and her other two albums did over 400K sales

5.8 million? All three of her albums combined might have made that. Subtract priority’s cut, videos and promotion, producers and no limit and there wasn’t 5.8 to be stolen
