He will run into the difficult truth that while Americans do not like how both parties grow the deficit and overspend, fixing it would require every American to sacrifice by allowing the government to reduce entitlement spending.

Democrats and Republicans both play this game where they pretend either billionaires can fund an endless list of government programs with no trade offs, or that immigrants and woke liberals are stealing all the money for the gays and minorities.

The problem is not the politicians. The real issue is that Americans have become unserious and detached from basic economic principles. And once a politician tells the truth, voters will run back into the arms of those who will tell them comforting lies.
