It is a Florida thing but used all over at times. I’m from GA but live in FL. Nobody says it more than the people here. One of the most common slang terms used here. It’s their version of YN. Nothing like that back home in GA.

Yea Brunswick is a mix of Savannah & Jax. Savannah is also nothing like the rest of GA when it comes to slang. They got their own sh1t.

We been saying cap when I was in middle school in the mid- late 90s in Jacksonville. When I met my current wife in 2012 I told her I missed her and her reply was I was capping. That was way before people in Georgia was saying it.
