Yeah but DDG talking specifically about the dudes who be making they songs live on stream

That took specific hurdles to get through compared to normal streamers

I don't subscribe to his channel but Justin Bernardez has been doing that for a while. He had a short and I wanted to check out more of his content. And surprisingly, there was music. Not a lot of views, but legit recordings. People have been doing it too.

Soulja boy was streaming before all these n1ggas. So was Bow Wow. Joe Biden vlogs when he was saying and rapping were technically streams. I can keep going.

Jay Versace is right

One more thing, Ryan Leslie used to stream real time production. If I'm not mistaken.

I understand, wanting your props and credit, but you have to really do your research.

Applaud all these gentlemen for taking chances and creating new revenue streams.

Once the bag gets involved the essence of it gets diluted unfortunately ... that's why social media content as a whole is washed now, it's all about clip farming and shock value takes nothing is pure anymore.

The thing I hate about Streamers is these n1ggas carry it like their doing some groundbreaking work I mean it's good for the moment if you make something creative and entertaining enough but that's it, isn't nobody is going back to watch a IRL stream some years from now and I feel like once you age out it's a wrap most of those viewers are middle schoolers.

Not really though. I've seen Knxwledge make countless of beat tapes live on stream for years. Same with Mndsgn, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Questlove, JRocc, DJ Spinna, Devin Morrison. Devin got a whole 12 album run of stream joints.

A lot of these music and internet dudes saw Kai and found out the money he was making and decided to pivot. In these times content is king due to all the scrolling on social media apps. They just aligned themselves with streamers and gamers to get popular in that space. Most of them have some sort of fame elsewhere. It's just an easier route for them to switch to because most people wanna be in their business anyways.

A lot of them think that everything they're doing is some groundbreaking sh1t because they treat everything like it didn't exist before them. It did. That's why you're able to make sh1t popping.

You can take DDG's comment, the twitter comment, and the title of this thread and interpret it multiple ways. We don't have the full context.

If we're talking about IRL streamers there are only a couple that were doing that and then transitioned to music before DDG and they're not making the genre of music he's making.

So if he wants to make that statement in the context of the type of music he's making then it might actually be true. iShowSpeed, PlaqueBoyMax, Reggie, and others like them all make the same type of music DDG makes.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with getting a bag for streaming. It’s just that NONE of these people have any real talent and audiences have no standards. Good times tho.

Context.. not saying anything is wrong with getting a bag I'm stating once the bag/commercialization gets introduction to anything the product gets compromised because it brings in people who care less about the product and more about the bag.

Holding an audience of thousands attention for hours every day is a skill/talent.

Enough with the bullsh1t tryna downplay what streamers do because it LOOKS easy.

Definitely takes more skill and ingenuity than some of these "traditional" jobs where you're told exactly what to do and how to do it.

If it was that easy every random person would have a successful stream.

ryan leslie never streamed he used to post videos of him performing a song he already made but in those days people didn't tag it as that so alot of people that don't make music thought he was legit making it in real time of the video
