There’s truth to this. Idk if he’s overrated, he was incredible at his peak. But he was only a possession guy. He couldn’t take the top off a defense.

Lol reciever has one job, catch the ball. Carter had some of the best hands in the 90s, check his drops. Case closed. How fast he was is irrelevant when the guy was catching everything thrown his way.

What maybe when Randy Moss got there but people forget how great he was

he caught a lot of touchdowns. He was unstoppable and I'm a guy who probably seen 90% of his games in a Vikings uniform

Bro you smoking that good sh1t. Rice is a given...he has records that won't be touched ever. None of the receivers you mentioned beat him in receptions except for Harrison and it's by 1 reception. Yards....only Moss, TO, and Harrison (other than Rice) beat him. TDs...only Rice, TO, and Moss are ahead of him. So yeah he's better than Sterling, Irvin and Holt. No way he's considered "overrated".

People forget CC led the league in td catches twice before moss was drafted & led the league in catches before moss was drafted too.

I disagree. Longevity wise, yeah. But peak Ocho was a top 3 receiver and had the best burst off the LOS in the league. Carter had sure hands but couldn�t do anything after the catch and had no top end speed.

yeah even though i dont like race baiting cris carter as a person.. he was great as a receiver..
with him & chad johnson in comparison ill go with cris carter.. he was reliable
chad had flashes but his diva mentality knocked him down from taking it to the next level

not to mention on the pats he was complete trash
