Mysterious radio signal from outer space repeating every hour, defying explanation

image

UNDATED (WKRC) - A mysterious radio signal from outer space is repeating approximately every hour, defying all explanation.

According to New Atlas, astronomers have detected a bizarre signal that repeats nearly every hour, cycling through three unique states. Although scientists have some ideas as to the exactly origins of the signal, explained the outlet, it isn't able to be explained by current understanding of physics.

The signal was officially designated as ASKAP J1935+2148, per the outlet, which reported that it was first detected in data gathered by the ASKAP radio telescope in Australia.

The mysterious signal repeats every 53.8 minutes, per the outlet.

Per the outlet, the signal cycles through these three states:

The signal shoots bright flashes, which last between ten and 50 seconds and have a linear polarization. (All the radio waves "point" in the same direction.)
The pulses are weak, have a circular polarization and last only 370 milliseconds.
The object misses cue and remains silent.
“What is intriguing is how this object displays three distinct emission states, each with properties entirely dissimilar from the others,” Doctor Manisha Caleb, the lead author of the study, wrote, according to New Atlas. “The MeerKAT radio telescope in South Africa played a crucial role in distinguishing between these states. If the signals didn’t arise from the same point in the sky, we would not have believed it to be the same object producing these different signals.”

Per the outlet, the scientists who discovered the signal believe it is likely coming from a white dwarf or neutron star. New Atlas noted that the properties of the signal do not fit with our current understanding of the physics involved with a white dwarf or a neutron star.

White dwarfs and neutron stars are both born following the death of larger stars. The original mass of the dying star dictates whether a neutron star or a white dwarf is created in the aftermath.

Neutron stars fire radio waves regularly, and are the suspected source of the mystery signal. According to New Atlas, it was possible that the signal could be the result of interactions between strong magnetic fields and complex plasma flows.

However, the outlet noted that neutron stars spin at speeds of seconds or fractions of a second per revolution, which would make it impossible for one to spin as slow as every 54 minutes.

Although a white dwarf could spin at those speeds, the team behind the study wrote "we don’t know of any way one could produce the radio signals we are seeing here.”

Scientist are stupid.

We do the same thing and project soundwaves ect into outerspace hoping an alien notices us.

So how is this something out of the ordinary

I think the signal is just an indication of something/life sent this junk mail from so and so direction, there's actually no specific messaging in those signals

the one thing I agree with terrance howard is that math does need to change

just not the bs he's talking about

we use base 10 but the universe doesnt work very well with it
we use it because its easy to count and fingers.
but its not modular

we should at the very least use base 12 or base 60 for math
we use it for time and for longitude and latitude

my point is an advanced civilization using base 12 or 60 would send signals that correspond, hence every hour
we would have to use the same system of math to decode the message

we are talkin modular arithmetic and congruence

my guess is it's the mothership sending signals to those Spherical objects, we see flying around our skies and dropping into our oceans.

whatever it is they want is in the ocean.

The only question left is will they have to kill us all to take it?

better start decoding those signals... Clocks ticking mfkas

Waves come from any source pretty much is what they are finding. I just read the article where they said Jupiter’s moons send radio wave signal to Jupiter. The electromagnetic fields draw in and emit radio waves. Crazy in the full context.

It would be stranger if the patterns were irregular.
That would be a signal of intent.

Every hour is more than likely a repeating natural occurrence.

Everytime a thread gets made where it says scientists receives radio waves people always start talking about aliens, and the article never suggest they think it's aliens. lol
