Recently got back into the joints. Post your favorite workout routine, mobility drills, books, and all that good stuff.

Currently running through the Wolf for conditioning to complement my barbell/dumbbell strength days.
Dislike the music choice but eh.

Waste of your time. The guy that actually brought kettlebells into popularity (jujitsu champ) knows it's a stupid piece of equipment now. He teaches timed static contraction.

Tho TSC is hard for more people to practice, I'd say HIT (not HIIT) is the way to go. No swinging bullsh1t regardless of what bro science tells you

Who are you referring to?

But you can look up studies to see how useful kettlebells are. Use the best tool for your goals. And there are many kettlebell exercises that don’t require swinging

Will def use KBs more in the future. Right now I’m using it on my off days for mobility and fat loss through complexes. Complexes get me to Zone 4 easy

KB Pullovers are quickly becoming a favorite of mine. I don't have a bench at home so I do it on the floor. Push ups right after is magic

I was doing kettlebells after I quit the gym in November and before I got into calisthenics this year. I personally loved em. They're a quality workout 100%.

Great for overall strength and athleticism. They develop muscles that don't normally get worked, and work on balance, coordination, and explosiveness.

I thought I made a thread on them a while ago, but I guess I didn't.

Could e sworn I responded to this earlier. How’s the calisthenics training coming along and is there anyone you follow on YT or do you do your own thing?

Facts. I got my bells during Covid but stopped using them as much once I went back to the gym. I’m using them now again since I won’t be in the gym for a minute. Same, I thought I made a Kb thread too but couldn’t find it when I searched through my threads. Maybe we created a minute ago since a lot of older threads got purged

I always questioned how those spastic movements were actually good for your joints.

I don’t know who the guy you’re quoting is referring to but the person who popularized kettlebells in the state is Pavel Tsatsouline, who still trains with them til this day.

What “spastics” movements are you referring to though?

As fluid as people try to look using kettlebells the movements still dont look natural...lot of quick snaps and pressure on the wrist.

But im prob just old and set in my ways.

I feel that argument can be made with Olympic lifts in general and even a basic lifts like the bench press. It comes down to technique. Without proper technique you’re going to mess up your wrists on a bench press. Def depends on the exercise but I haven’t had any wrist or forearm pain from using kettlebells consistently for a month now.
