OJ Simpson was the man back then, if he only could have distant himself from the snow.

I think it was worse how a magazine made his face DARKER, to depict him as an angry BLACK man, cuz they felt the darker u look, the more criminal you look

Then literally darkened the picture on the cover

Two different sh0e sizes, neither matching his own, tracked thru blood at the scene.

Both victims had a Colombian necktie

The dude was a mixed martial artist

The st@b wounds were from a left handed ki1ler, OJ was right handed.

Do you think OJ was smiled enough in the area of murder that he could perform 2 Colombian neckties?

Maybe $TFU about karma n get off a dead man's stick

Man that trial was like the game of thrones viewership.

Everyday - “we interrupt this broadcast to bring you a special report from the OJ trial.”

You had to be there.

Plus the timeline. That's not discussed enough. They really wanted us to believe he ki1led 2 people, in a bloodbath, and cleaned up well enough to catch a limo all within the span of about 20 minutes.

Not to mention that he left the scene that looked like Freddie was there and didn't leave a drop of blood on his Bronco pedals nor floor. How Sway? Y'all just told me he walked through all the damn blood.

The real truth about OJ is that for the majority of his life, his actions seemed that he never cared about black culture. He wasn't friends with us, he didn't date black women, and didn't associate with us. And there's nothin wrong with that. He is his own person and doesn't owe anybody anything.

But the black community rode out for him during his first case because of the symbolism of black people finally beating the system that so often unfairly kept us down. As soon as he beat the system, he went back to not giving a f*ck about us.

It's the same thing with Clarence Thomas and Anita Hill s3xual assault case from back in the day. This was keepin a black man from the Supreme Court. I'm BX cla$s of 04 so I'm an old head. I remember being a little one listening to adults around me rooting for Clarence Thomas's innocence against another black woman saying it was just the "man" trying to keep a successful black man down. Same sh!t. Now we know, Clarence Thomas never gave a f*ck about us but he used and rode the sympathy of the black community to his advantage.

As the saying goes, ya skinfolk ain't always ya kinfolk.

Used all that popular support to celebrate OJ and Clarence Thomas

Imagine if that popular support went towards voting for anti-racists and anti-capitalists.

You wouldn't need to throw your support behind a single individual in order to beat the system, the system would be working for you.

Wild times for sure, our whole family used to come home after work and school and watch the trial everyday ( easy to do for those that lived on the east coast).

Men used to be able to just to have groupies without shame

Now days they’d call them influencers and ask why he didn’t put a ring on it (even though technically did marry one)

The irony of all of these magazine covers being featured is that JET Magazine was THE weekly news source for black America in the 60’s through the early to mid 1990’s. That fact OJ was featured with Elizabeth Montgomery from Bewitched was huge! Even before the murders and subsequent trial, OJ let a lot of black folks down!

"He is his own person and doesn't owe anybody anything." This is the best thing you said in your pathetic diatribe.

OJ Simpson chose to be an individual instead of a perpetual victim dwelling on perpetual victimhood mentality and mindset.

The do-nothing black community collectively is a pathetic and sad community always complaining and whining without having any real plan or course of action.
You said all I actually need to know in your last statement. Not worth going back and forth with. Have a great day.

You almost got it right. Not sure how old you are but in the 90s there were not many anti-racists and anti-capitalists in a position to be able throw your support behind. This had to be cultivated from a grassroots effort overcoming the obstacles and figuring it out on our own. It is not like today in the Internet and social media age when you can see everything that happens in any town in America.

It still has to be a grassroots thing.

You can't easily propel someone into Washington who doesn't belong.

It has to start locally to build a powerful coalition.
