Cool artifact

I remember him telling the story about digging it up and the money had mold on it

Which would be true. I don't know why they would bury a safe and think moisture wouldn't get in there

I think most of BX liked Nip’s music but it’s just the fact that we are so lost that we praise gangbangers who find a way to make legit money but then funnel that money through their set…which contributes to more crime and ki1ling of black people; all because we think it’s SO commendable that they opened a clothing store in the hood…

The whole industry was on Nipsey before he ever dropped an album. East Coast heavy weights like Jay & Puff were on him. He had a nice growing fanbase.

Nobody cares who you heard.

When did nipsey start cripppin? U can tell in his older pictures up into like 19 that he was just a good kid trying to survive in a bad environment. Did he start banging in his 20s? Blacc Sam always and still to this day aint fu#k with the gang sh1t.

Nipsey went viral when Jay-Z bought 100 copies of his $100 mixtape.

That was in 2013-14. Jay helped Nipsey land the Puma deal right before he dies so that tells you the presence he had in bros life.

Puff was an advisor on the album and probably has EP credit on Young n1ggas and maybe other songs. Laurens sister works/worked for Puff. sh1t he may have met Lauren through Puff. I don't know. Puff was a presence in his life for a long time.

Those are the 2 guys EVERY east coast artist dreams of having in their corner. Nip haddem locked in early...along with the west including rival sets.

Speak on what you know fam.

Perspective is important... To see a black man make it out, and look to alter that same neighborhood into a neighborhood that people can be proud of is very commendable. Also attempting to create a marketplace/plazas similar to white neighborhoods all around the country is a W. Speaking of the power of keeping the black dollar in our own community a W. Self sufficiency is what brings about pride, and makes you care enough about where you live that you begin to self police. Also to create relationships w/ local government & your set to create change and positive communication for black and brown people that have been sh1tted on because of the neighborhoods they live in is a win. Not many other people let alone rappers cared to take it that far.

Reality is rappers are influential. It is absolutely praise worthy when you find 1 that is speaking about the values of independence, the beauty in being black, and also visibly doing for his own neighborhood beyond just turkey drives.
