This might be the only time X ever acknowledged the mini beef he had with LOX

Which all but confirms Trina Moe was about Lox.

To a degree, as good as he could be. I also feel the relationship was still like that in the event of his demise. They just always had that proffesor x magneto vibe. It's love but might have to scratch at times.

The Ruffryder vs Rocafella Cold war was epic as fukk!

Jay and X throwing subs at each other

Beans vs Jada lyrical war

Dash taking shots at Dee and Wah about who are better at being bosses

Mixtapes was on Fiyah!

And Hot 97 and the Source and XXL hyping it all up

What a time to be alive!

And Jay wasn’t comfortable with people thinking X was on or near his level behind closed doors
Irv Gotti has verified this.

The rivalry was never one sided just X was less secretive about it.

When Irv not soaking his panties about Ashanti he has always been a great story teller. When he recalls those days at Def Jam it's like you can see it. NORE is like that too but he is constantly giving Lyor a verbal handjob.

X & The Lox was good in the end same with Swizz they was good

DMX was a really emotional person he got mad about a lot of stuff but the people close to him understood that & didn't hold a grudge.

Swizz's family basically raised DMX .

Like when DMX was beefing with Ja Rule publicly him & his with was still going to Ja Rule's house because their wives was still best friends lol

You crazy den a bi#ch. X even said himself in a rap that he really only wanted a five year run. And his two platinum albums in a year still ain't touched to my knowledge. He never based his success off of Jay. He was a Yonkers legend when Jay was still trying to rap like Jaz

If n1ggaz wanna go off numbers in their primes, DMX was selling more 100%....Fam went #1 and multi plat with street sh1t off the rip.

First 3 albums went buku. Even when Great Depression and Grand Champ existed, DMX was already still well ahead sales wise of Jay.

Jay-Z first two junts weren't even like plat....maybe gold at best, but he didn't go multi plat til Vol.2

Right now its obviously a different story bc Jay put out way more albums since then. Jigga became president and had X switching labels to Columbia Records while the 6th album was in production. No coincidence his #1 streak ended in 06.

People can try to rewrite history all they want to like X didn’t take over his tour and force him to rearrange his set multiple times to compete with X before ultimately conceding.

I’m a fan of both but the facts are the facts

Jay was doin that shiesty Brooklyn sh1t. That whole Def Jam president period kinda ki1led the last hope of them really being close like that. He clearly still saw X as competition when X thought he would take the opportunity to unite". And I've heard multiple artist refer to it as "the inmate running the jail". It didn't quite happen like thatm They always had respect and love for each other but from afar ofcourse. X was that n1gga. If he didn't have the demonds he had it would've been a landslide.
