I disagree, The whole notion of 'letting h0es be h0es' is why we have such a fu#ked-up society today in which a 17yr old Boy is expected to meet delusional standards unfit for their generation. Legacy doesn't have to be tangible. Legacy can just mean lineage and watching your family grow. It can mean raising productive members of society whom contribute to positive aspects of culture and social norms. Regular and average people contribute a lot to society.
