I remember being driven to school(jr high) when Jimmy was wylin on mase. sh1t like 8am lol after that, half the cla$s of males threatened to smack the kufi off of n1ggaz lol
Some of the best hip hop moments happened off the Internet and on the radio for about 2 decades. Now they just get on social media and diss each other.
I'm laughing while at the same time realizing the Psyop in normalizing this , not only to the black community, but to mainstream America as well. Letting them think that's just how we are. Funny? Yes. Absolutely. But sad too in retrospect.
In retrospect that was the final catalyst that buried NY influence in mainstream rap in hindsight. The south was already doing numbers but broadcasting that internal city beef for radio listenership was it. Just a bunch of bruised egos and shouting for nothing.
Lol man I haven’t heard some of these in years lol. I don’t have Twitter but I know they should have Nas when he was going at everybody on the radio and the whole Ray J vs Fab lol
