Hopefully now they see they're catering to the wrong audiences. I get they tryna sell toys but toys ain't even on the plate if they can't sell tickets.

They need to stop pandering and get back to making movies for Comic Book Fans.

Marvel earned that with laziness. They haven't created any build up with captain marvel. They should have did a second movie. The other chick was a side character in a tv show. She should have another appearance somewhere. And the other character...I heard her tv show was decent but I ain't watch it. Its on Disney plus and may watch it next year.

That gets to my point...Marvel projects have a "I'll wait till its on Disney plus" vibe. They lacking the fear of missing out factor. The FOMO is gone.

Just watched it at the crib. Wasn't a bad movie. Had alot of heart. The villain wasn't really a villain and I think that's why alot of people hate it. I think some of these film releases could've been split up into 8 episode series instead of some of the shows they actually release and people probably would've received them better...Who knows

It's a female lead movie

What the fu#k do you expect?

Luckily the first Wonder Woman did those numbers.

But in reality don't nobody want to see that sh1t

Unless it's Barbie or something

Marvel should stop investing in female lead films

Movie wasn’t bad. The villain was a little over the top but the story line was fair. I would watch it again

I enjoyed the film for what it is(My wife cried). I've enjoyed the entire phase(and now the current one) after Endgame because of the personal aspect of all these heros attempting to deal with grief on their own ways. Of course the after credits scene was cool too. There's always gonna be those that hate certain marvel movies for whatever reason. I don't like every show/movie but I'm always happy to see the story progressing.

No they shouldn't stop investing in female leads. They just need to make a good fu#king movie. Storm, Rogue, Mystique, Jean Grey. Spectrum and Captain Marvel were just wasted on a bad movie but if they had good writers and director it could've been amazing.

Nag that's not how it works. Disney wants their money. Investors want their money. Doesn't matter what they made before, the mouse got them now and they're going to destroy Marvel like they did Star Wars. Force them to crank out a million and one gradually worse pieces of content until they've run it into the ground. Marvel has the whip cracking on them like runaway slaves and massa Disney ain't gonna let up.

You would think a women's comic book movie would be catered to women but not history has shown Men are the one that always show out when it comes to comic books in general, regardless of gender.

DC's biggest superheroine was literally created with the male gaze in mind because da origin story was a guy with a fetish.

did they ever make those types of movies after phase 1 & 2 or whatever.. I don't know they time-line but it seem like Disney took marvel comic book fans balls

All of Phase 3 was legit. Everything up to Endgame was good. All of them were at least 6/10 movies, at worst you could find some type of enjoyment in them. Just about everything after has been trash. With a few exceptions of course. But they were just good movies.

Cap 2 I always say is the best Marvel movie cause I love spy thrillers and it was a great spy thriller. Same with heist movies, which is why I like Ant-Man so much. Infinity War is just all around great IMO. Ant-Man 2 as bad as it is it's at least enjoyable

Thanos saga was great because you had the OG characters carrying the brand with the actors to match. Plus even if you didn’t know who Thanos was he looked like he was a problem homie big as the hulk so it LOOKS menacing.

Where Marvel started fu#king up is thinking the casual fan would like to get into the comic book dynamic of Marvel. They’re now in the true comic book version of things where no one gives a fu#k about it that’s why comic book fans exist let them read the stories. You can’t get casual fans to be into this nerdy sh1t.

Also, Kang off rip doesn’t look menacing he’s a regular man with no powers to show (ant-man movie hoped to show this, didn’t do that great). Either bring in Doom who has some menacing looks to show, OR introduce the damn revamped X-Men casual fans know the X-Men. By time they get to the X-Men fully it’s gonna be like 3 years from now. They’ll probably get those fans back but it could hurt their bottom line before that point. All in all someone gonna have to pay for the misstep, either the consumer in Disney+ hikes or movies/shows gonna get cut.

Totally agree. Funny I was writing this long a$s paragraph and then I stopped to read your sh1t and deleted everything I typed. End Game was the cathartic release for many fans and it would be hard to regain that momentum again with the audience. Like you said, they needed a Doom level nemesis that the audience could connect to or some other heroes that the masses could easily recognize. But with all of these filler shows and movies that the average non-comic book fan have no idea about, they have watered down their product. I'm not sure even if they brought in more well known characters that it could lift the franchise back to where it once was. Maybe bringing in Doom as the primary enemy could do it.

I knew this was gonna be a flop. I watch most of the Marvel projects and have no real interest in this.

I’ll go check it out this weekend but I haven’t heard good things.
