& I don't think anyone is opposed to facing consequences but being shot is a punishment that doesn't fit the crime. Now if during the commission of the crime they use a deadly weapon to inflict deadly force then yes being shot is warranted but stealing iPhone or sh0es does not = death. I'm pretty far left politically, but if you are looting a store, especially a local business, you deserve to be shot by the owner. If the cops are there they should arrest you but the owner definitely has the right to protect his/her property.
