I mean he's right. Negroes will walk right past a bank to cash their check with some people that think so little of them they need to be behind bulletproof glass.

Right or wrong, what is he doing to help? How is preaching this to another rich, albeit, whiter man in front of a crowd of assumable rich folk as well doing anything beneficial for anyone? This has been well known since like the 70s so what does speaking on it for decades without any action really do for anyone?

They don't actually do any research. I used to do taxes in the hood in Toledo, Ohio for this White dude. I asked him once why he chose the location we were at and he told me he was taught the number 1 rule in the services business in urban areas is be as close to McDonald's as possible, they've already done the research for you.....

There was two check cashing places and 3 liquor stores within looking distance from our location....

He basically is saying what we say all the time in empowerment discussions that we in the black community lack financial literacy

My pops was one of them...he grew up poor....he didn't trust banks ..it took my mom to teach him the value of saving money in a bank as opposed to hiding it in his apartment as a stash

I recently convinced an employee to open up an account and getting direct deposit as opposed to cashing his check at Wal Mart and paying that fee

And also having the money already in the account instead of waiting for a live check to be cashed

Kevin was right those check cashing places and payday loan places play on our ignorance

People cant get accounts because of credit history or legal status. Doesn't have sh1t to do with intellect.

Sometimes timing and documents prevent people from making decisions that seem easy to someone privileged on the outside looking in. $10/m.to the bank. 5 day holds. 2 pieces of ID. None of these things add up to food in your belly

NGL..... that's crazy. His name is actually Kevin lmao. That's fu#kin crazy brah!

He was a cool dude who I don't really keep up with since I don't go on Facebook. Can't front, we did help a lot of people even after we got paid for it or not. I personally would come in the office once a week when tax season was done to meet with clients that needed amendments or had audits. Kevin would come in when there were really complex issues I couldn't handle.

I honestly don't understand how so many why so many small businesses that actually made real money came to us instead of having an actual presale accountant. I've gone through at least 1 million receipts, write-offs, donation certificates, etc. We was kinda the guys to go to because we were thorough as fxck on getting back your max but for business owners we were pretty average. Mfers were banking a mil plus per year on their business and was asking me to help them lower their personal taxes.....

Ahhh we back to saying n1ggas just gotta budget they way out of poverty

Uve never heard of the "Help From the Hart Charity?" a nonprofit that helps underserved communities not to mention providing financial scholarships for youth to attend college and assisting those with medical needs? The organization regularly hosts events to raise money like the fundraiser at the New York Marathon in 2017 where he raised over 300k which was distributed to those who needed the money the most. Now since you seem to know so much what is it that you are doing to help these same people?

What are yall doing to help? Im willing to bet that Kevin has done more. And even just him talking like this will reach one person who was thinking that "the bank is a scam, I want all my money in my hand"

Well let's talk about another, similar situation for example.

I said a few weeks ago that rap is stupid because people mostly talk about ki1ling other Black men, selling drugs, fu#king each other's women and the women talk about who they fu#king, etc. I was told the cliche sh1t about how they're only talking about their environment. They're not doing it to "spread awareness". They're doing it to put money in their pockets and by extension spread poison to the community. How does that help anyone?
