Edit: Thinking more about it I now think the 16 yr old should get more like 25 to life, and even death depending on if he was ever driving earlier when they hit the first cyclist who survived.

OP they aren't going soft on them. The driver was the one that thought he'd get a slap on the wrist because he was a juvenile at the time of the crime but both teens are being charged as adults. Did you even watch the video you posted?

People like that have a better chance of being saved eventually.

Think he deserves at least 10 yrs and don't mind if he is sentenced to much more like life in prison or even death.
