TDE's problem is they move like an old school record label in new age. Their format isn't about dropping 100s of projects a year, they focus on the quality more than anything. It works but it doesn't. Kendrick leaving, Ab's depression and Schoolboy disappearing is probably the biggest things that fu#ked up their momentum.

Hearing Reason speaking on the delay in his career by them constantly slowing up his momentum sums it up. He said it’s songs on the album he dropped a month ago that he not only made a few years ago but gave them to the label a few years ago & they did nothing with it which meant Reason couldn’t drop them right then at that moment & kept his momentum going. Moosa put the blame on him that it’s his fault for not gaining momentum because he was supposed to find other ways in that span of time to draw attention to himself & get some motion going so they could THEN drop the songs he gave them. That approach doesn’t work for every artist today, especially not an artist that isn’t already established with a huge fanbase who is checking for them 24/7 even when they not recording a project.

That’s how they fumbled Isaiah. Isaiah from a musical perspective should be a superstar carrying on the torch from OutKast as he’s a cross between Big Boi & Andre making flawless music from a sound standpoint. That’s why Q said he’s a PERFECT artist.
