On the lyrics to the song (just listened on youtube), the person wrote "whipped done changed you like American slaves"...which we can say, OK maybe that's wordplay coinciding with 'whipped and chained you like American slaves"....the former cool beans...the latter, nah...

and personally I don't like it coming from Drake in any song...especially because

1. He's not 100% Black
2. He almost never ever talk about Black struggle, so curious to use this as a medium
3. He's Canadian talking about American slaves
4. His next line was "I met the n1gga you thought could replace"
