they didnt have much choice.

giants werent giving him that and that rb market is soft around the league.

even leveon bell had to sit out an entire season and that was back when rbs were still valued.

if a running back sits out an entire season NOW waiting on a new deal or offer from another team? might be the end of their career.

He had the same choice as Zeke Elliot who went to cabo before getting paid... He did have a choice; he just had a bad agent.. he was 80 percent of the offense last year

Exactly, Barkley fu#ked up when he turned down that deal last year....that 11 million he took was the only thing available...nobody else was paying him either...and to wh0ever compared it to zeke, that was a completely different time...and ppl like zeke getting paid and their productivity drastically dropping is part of the reason Barkley and JT can't get paid

The rookie pay scale destroyed running backs...
The team being able to lock a rookie into 4 and 5 years at salaries that are well below their value...especially for backs that are day 2 and 3 picks...then after that they can franchise them for 2 more....7 years is all a running back has...aint no back in his 8th or 9th year getting no long term deal.

Crazy thing is, if I'm not mistaking the players association asked for the rookie pay scale so that there is more money available for vets.....am I mistaken?
