I like Fields. I think he’s a good kid, who’s honestly trying the best he can.

At the start of the season I said this was make or break for his career. Poles isn’t going to risk his career going into a 3rd year of him being GM without Fields passing showing improvement.


At this point I’ve personally seen enough to see he can’t read defenses quick enough. Either way the Bears are ok due to the high draft picks and QBs that could possibly come out

Your right I just wat h highlights here in Indiana. I watch the 9ers games cause I don't like it when teams get a running QB and neglect the O line. Everything he is on Redzone I see him running for his life. I will admit he is not looking to run this year like last which may be the reason. He Def holding on to the ball to long.

It’s wild because I like Eberflus as well. Atleast how he acts and his approach. But he’s also not developing anyone which was his calling card in Indy. Player development or being adapt at making mid round defensive talent play damn near pro bowl level.

So that means one or two things. Either the talent pool Poles is providing isn’t good. Or Eberflus was overrated and the positional coaches are the ones who really did the development in Indy and Flus being the DC got credit for it.

It’s 3 years now he holds onto the ball way too long. Period.

The knock on fields coming out was that he has a slow processor. You can see that written up and down his scouting report. Which is why he dropped in the draft.

That report is pretty accurate. He’s not helping the Oline any, needing 4-5 seconds to make a decision. But you can’t get the ball out at 3 seconds or less if you suck at anticipating

and I get not wanting to put it all on his shoulders, I still would have picked a young up and coming offensive mind though. Him with somebody like Eric Bieniemy or Mike McDaniel would have been a great combo imo
