He didn't bring the gun outside. He went outside to talk with no gun and got jumped. The Tyler guy pulled the gun out, then he ran and got his gun. Even then he didn't shoot until they got in the truck and pointed at him. It's all in camera.

Agreed. Fam hammered it into the jury's head just how incompetent she was in regards to her investigation. I may be reading too deep into it but unlike most cases, it seems like the lawyer truly believed his client was innocent. Dude went in
