africans started with the mind as a weapon. Enslaved. African Americans continued with the mind as a weapon with numerous self-empowered communities like black Wall Street. Destroyed, murdered, money in banks taken (its still owed). Blacks integrated into corporate America in the 70-80s through hard work. Crack and guns brought to them during Iran Contra.

See the pattern here. Let’s not get into the Clinton-Biden 1994 crime bill.

No minority in their right mind should feel safe here.

The way he spoke here, reminds me of the way tupac would explain sh1t

Dudes back then where a lot more wiser it seems when u look at how young they were, compared to today

Ice T always gave an interesting interview and he's a good actor, but are we going to address the elephant in the room that his music wasn't very good?

But back then his music was groundbreaking. Hip Hop just evolved to better music years later.

For example I feel the same way about KRS-One but I understand his importance and huge impact on music as a whole.

I don't think people ever rate his actual music in that high regard... He usually gets credited with being a pioneer and ahead of his time, rightfully so... He influenced a ton of rappers though, so depending on how much you factor that in, could make an argument to have him rated pretty high... Personally I liked some of his early stuff, but nothing I really revisit that often

Was 10 when Soulja Boy dropped and doing the superman dance. 26 now and it's part of my childhood but damn Ice T was on point. The mid 00s south artists really ruined hip hop or at least created multiple different subgenres that became mainstream if you wanna look at it more positively

He's def a pioneer, but that doesn't mean his music was actually good, especially when compared to his contemporaries like eazy e, Dr Dre, ice cube, and too short.

say something...
