There's one product that has been making all the headlines from Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference in Cupertino, California, on Monday.

The announcement of the Vision Pro headset marked the tech giant's foray into the metaverse — although the company stayed clear of using that branding.

But on TikTok and Twitter, everyone has been laughing about the audience's reaction to the Vision Pro's eye-watering price tag.

The reaction is all the more interesting because the annual conference is typically attended by only the most enthusiastic Apple fans.

Tim Cook may be hoping they've put the high-yield Apple savings account to use.

"The Vision Pro's $3,499 sticker price will inhibit adoption, but Apple is not looking to make money off this product just yet," Anisha Bhatia, a senior technology analyst at GlobalData, said.

"The Vision Pro is Apple's attempt at cracking open the extended reality (XR) door to create an addressable market with iterations of Vision Pro in the years to come," she said.

Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Yea it's definitely for a specific audience. It won't do mind blowing numbers but this is one hell of a piece of technology. Also, it's Apple. Did n1ggas think this was going to b e $899?!?!? lol

Without trying it, you can’t say it’s not worth 3500. The real question is do you need or could you even use to it’s full capabilities. This is what makes the difference.

I never fu#ked with apple ever since they got rid of disk drives and headphones outlets on their laptops and phones, sh1t was just a scam to get people to buy them as seperate attachments
