I’ve been following this story for the past six months really closely because it tied a lot into the WWE sale because the Saudi Investment Fund was the one who set the WWE’s sale price to Endeavor early on.

The Raine Group ended up administering the deal which is significant because they were in pending litigation with the Saudi Investment Fund over LIV which was a project they started together that ended up getting spun off with Raine left in the cold.

Raine Group was so scorned they led a full on PR battle against LIV and actively partnered with the PGA to use political ties to shut LIV out in the US. The Raine Group also administered the sale of Chelsea FC and when the Saudi Investment Fund dba Saudi Media blew the other bidders out of the water, the Raine group left them off the shortlist for ownership! Beef!

With their issue settled this means the blockades to Saudis investing in sports may be down for good and we could see Saudi takeovers in sports now their biggest hinderance has been neutralized.
