While I agree this appears to be extreme and advanced tech.... I can't justify the 3500 price tag. I don't see this being everyday tech, and if it is it's because you would be forcing it to be.


I thought tech like this would be for the masses to get, this now cuts out 70%(IMO) of potential buyers

On another note:

This is a first-gen product. Yes, $3500 is wildly expensive, but it's not intended for everyone. It's meant to get developers involved with the new dev kit and whatnot. I'm sure there'll be a "reasonably-priced" retail version probably in 2026-27 that's for the rest of us. That thing is probably expensive as hell to make considering their margins. On the other hand, Apple sold a $700 pair of wheels for the iMac, so they really could care less. It'll be sold out in seconds. I guarantee lol

I've watched several vids on this now and I get the feeling that it is as every bit as amazing that it looks but also it's 3500 bucks. It's just so much unsureness with the future of this product and how successful it will be to justify that amount of money.

But... While they have VR headsets out there, this particular one is as innovative I have seen Apple get. Especially with it being 1st generation, they should want to be able to make affordable so the next one can be higher. 1500 I could see, hell even 1800...but 35?? Nahh

ONly thing that interests me about Apple vision is the possibility of Sionyx teaming up with them and using that form factor for the future digital night vision.

I would only cop this if I am Married, in a relationship or live in a sh1tty home or environment i want to virtually get away from. None of that applies to me for now so im good.
However compared to Meta I would definitely cop over them. Meta and their sh1tty customer service will NEVER get a dime from me.

I can’t believe people are trying to compare Microsoft, Facebook and Google to this. None of these companies are good consumer hardware companies. Apple is the best consumer hardware company in possibly history
