Depends on the mood. But I prefer the games that offer third person when traversing and switch to first person when aiming down sights.

For shooters…1st person… it wasn’t always like that though, Socom was what got me into online shooters.

3rd. I've grown to appreciate fps's despite not playing Alot of them. Starting with Time splitters when I was young. Last Fps i played was outerworlds tho.

For me, it depends on the theme and setting.

My favorite shooter series is Sniper Elite, which is third person. Because of all the tr@nsversal and being behind enemy lines solo, I prefer that the game is in third person so that I can have a better sense of my surroundings. Other games that work better as third person include Metal Gear Solid and Splinter Cell for those same reasons.

If it's a team-based shooter, like the upcoming Six Days in Fallujah, then I do not mind it being in first person. I do not need a 360-degree of everything going on in that type of setting.

This is due to your FOV setting being too low. A lot of games usually default this to somewhere between 50 and 70. But that is incredibly low and gives you tunnel vision, hence your dizziness, motion sickness, and headaches. Personally, I prefer to set mine to 90 or 105, depending on the game I'm playing.

I didn't even like 1st person games till BioShock

I only really play cinematic/story games now so third person is usually better

However, really immersive first person is dope. Resident Evil Biohazard and Village being examples

Duck hunt would be categorized as fps right .

3rd but sometimes I switch back and forth in games like Skyrim or Fallout depending on the situation... Mainly for sniping

I wasn't aware getting dizzy and all of that was actually a thing with 1st person perspective games. I recall people saying that about VR games, but thats it.

So many first person games are just lazy AF is why. Just a floating gun
