If we're talking energy, I think OP is right.

Biggie's style was very smooth and laid back. Ross is pretty much shouting through "MC Hammer." Was my favorite single of his to hear on the radio.

I don't think any of Biggie's beats were anywhere near as "urgent," either.

When you think about classic NY rap vs. classic Miami rap, it figures.
