REPORT: The Dallas Mavericks getting a closer look at 7-3 Filipino youngster Kai Sotto.

- Just days after participating in a mini-camp with the Utah Jazz, the Filipino youngster is taking part in another mini camp arranged by the Dallas Mavericks, his camp confirmed.

- The 20-year old, who is currently deep in training in Los Angeles after the Jazz camp, is scheduled to fly to Dallas on Monday in the latest step to his bid to become the first homegrown Filipino to make an NBA team.

Basketball is pretty popular in the phillipines. Only reason why we don't got more Filipino hoopers in the league is cause a lot of Filipinos are short.

We would probably see more taller Filipinos if most of them had access to a healthier nutritious diet similar to us in America. Improving nutrition can help increase a population's height over time.
