People aren’t having as many children though

why wouldn't people want to cripple themselves financially to be rewarded by the love of their child who will probably be violently murdered while attending school, at the mall, or going to a concert? who can say...

Because it's too damn expensive to have one. Wages haven't kept up with inflation so that American dream of a house and 2 kids is dead.
