so I’m skimming thru Pinterest during work and it hits me that I’ve been meaning to do this for ages now and trimming down the sh0e collection to under 24 pairs before summer starts. it’s time to upgrade from leaving my sh1t in their original sh0e boxes and getting some type of clear stacking cases or something. Idk about any extra DIY sh1t that requires woodwork or painting. I don’t have wall or space under my bed to dedicate to sneakers and clothes anymore…. How y’all storing your kicks BX?

I keep them in a rack by my front door. Clean and store in original boxes when I rotate pairs out of use.

I'd feel silly displaying sh0es like trophies.

I keep mine in boxes in one of the guest rooms like a regular person. This sh1t for mf who got into sneakers in their mid to late 30s

Every sh0e I buy I wear until they trashed. Might be 2 weeks might be 2 months. Once or twice a year I throw out the ones that don’t get any play. Usually only keep old air max, I like em broken in.

These are basic, inexpensive and sturdy enough to safely stack 15 high. On Amazon, I believe $40-50 for a dozen.

really my problem is the glorification of overspending from these youtubers, tik tokers and ig cats

and more than half their audience are youngins

I really look at my habits in a more realistic way

sh1ts like a cigarette addiction

I look at my closet in disgust more than anything

real sh1t is real sh1t

and if you look at it like cigs it’s easier to see how nasty the behavior is of these “influencers”

Some sneakers I view as dope artwork and I appreciate sneaker enthusiasts that display them as such.

Since moving into a house having a nice sneaker set up been on my to do list but to answer op question they just in they original boxes stacked in my closet and some beaters are in them stackable plastic containers.

In the boxes in master closet. I keep 2 pair downstairs by the door for when I need to step out real quick.

Definitely not spending no coin on fancy boxes. No hate to anyone that does though.

I feel ya! There was a time when I wanted to do the plastic cases but I have too many and although it would look a lot more neat, I'm not trying to make that type of investment. I'm already trying to chill on buying kicks after having about 250. If I get rid of some, may think about it but now, I'll stick with my boxes

I use a couple 5 shelf version of this w/ wheels :

4 boxes per shelf, sh0es stay in the box arranged by box type (dunks, aj1s, 350s etc.)

I don't like the clear boxes sitting on my floor n shyt. Then u gotta figure out what to do with the boxes.

This simplifies all that and makes the whole sh0e collection mobile
