What was changed?...boxer strategy or bout rulings. Boxing had been around a while before this fight so just curious. This is actually pretty crazy tho that each corner, and officiating, would let the boxers sling it out round after round like this for that long.

Edit: Stopped skipping around and watched the rest of the tail end...shyt was crazy.

I know for sure rounds dropped to 12. It’s been about 10 years since I last saw the fight. It was a tough watch knowing what already happened. Also it just hard for be to watch fights with lack of defense.

And those 3 rounds changed everything.

You wonder how the outcome of so many big fights in recent memory would've been different had they gone 15 instead of 12.

The rhythm, strategy, and training for a 15 round fight is different too

Gotti rigged the scales, it was worse than rehydration

12 round limit on fights and fighters now have to undergo mri and lung exams before a fight and a ref can give a standing 8 count.
