![]() ![]() "HBO's head of drama, Francesca Orsi, had a lot to offer during an interview that was released earlier today with Deadline Hollywood – sharing a ton of updates on a whole bunch of new, returning & on-the-bubble programs. For this go-around, we're checking to see what Orsi had to share regarding the future of Neil Druckmann & Craig Mazin's Pedro Pascal (Joel) & Bella Ramsey (Bella)-starring The Last of Us. First up, Orsi confirmed what Ramsey addressed back in March, with the combination of production and the ongoing writers' strike making 2025 the realistic calendar year for the second season. Along with the promise from Druckmann & Mazin that Season 2 will go much bigger, Orsi had this to add regarding what viewers can expect. "There will be a couple of new pieces of casting, which I can't get into. And, of course, there isn't much that we can go into on 'The Last of Us,' given that Craig [Mazin] can't really initiate in any meaningful way from a writing or casting standpoint. But he and Neil [Druckmann] have a good sense of what it is that he's going to be taking on. We'll be moving the show from Calgary to Vancouver," Orsi shared. "All I can say is he's taking a big swing from both an entertainment standpoint, related to the clickers, but also just the more nuanced, complex character dynamic between our characters, Joel, Ellie, and beyond." As for the future? While nothing is set in stone, Orsi revealed that "a vision for Season 3" is in play. "I think Craig and Neil are still figuring out where they're going to come to an end," Orsi added. "We have loosely heard that there will be a Season 3 idea for the series, but at this point, we're taking it one season at a time. There's no guarantee at this point that we'll have a Season 3, but I know that they both have a vision for Season 3. Whether that lends itself to doing more [seasons], I don't know yet." ![]() The Last of Us: Pascal, Ramsey & Mazin on Season 2 & "Part II" During a profile of the actor posted by Esquire, Pascal, co-star Ramsey, and Mazin shared their thoughts on what's about to happen to be a foregone conclusion and if they're ready for it. From this point forward, we're throwing on the "MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD!" sign and throwing down an image spoiler buffer – you've been warned!.... Press link for spoilers. ![]() |

Some said that they would switch the actress who plays Ellie bc the time gap of the game going to part 2. I was hoping the show/writers would fill in the timeline for the show. It’s a few flashbacks in the game but leaves a lot to the imagination why Ellie doesn’t rock with Joel after murking a hospital full of fire flies. With the potential delay the actress might age a bit to pull it off.

Show was a 7/10 for me....They had a lot of pointless writing and pandering. Kinda dumb to show the bloater and then do absolutely nothing with it afterwards. There were some decent performances by some actors but overall its essentially The Mandalorian without the space sci-fi

Went away due to exposing the bias by bots and shills but I'm back
The show was mid and by ratings and entertainment. Is still a much weaker product than the video game, which was under a much tighter window and as a video game much more difficult to sell ... As a comic book fan I appreciate the real conversation from LOU game fans pointing out how HBO had no intentions of adapting that game Much less action Much less of the creatures that sell the franchise PERIOD! More actors who didn't have success prior but got shoehorned in Pascal was Pascal not Joel and there's more in vulnerability than generalizing being a weak man Ellie wasn't close at all, watch the video game cut scenes and listen to Ellie during gameplay. She doesn't crack smart remarks even half the time... She also speaks with a young wisdom that is lost on the tv series versions. Not even close to how her character grows in the game. Besides a very few sets lookong similar to the in-game backdrops, there is still an entire Game of The Last of US that hasn't been adapted yet. Scene for scene action for action the tv series has nothing to do with the game |

The Last of US is mid because they set up the environments but left everything that brought substance out of the series Double standards If fans say it's trash then any logical point made, and there can be many in this case. Will be dismissed as hate banter. While there is numerous examples of why the Show runners changed a lot from the video game and could not adapt the story. | |
