there used to be big run backs until they moved the kickoff up. The most exciting play in sports is dead.

What's weird is, there are no rules changing punts. The kickoff should be a punt that has to stay inbounds.

The players didn’t sue because the game wasn’t “safe”, the players sued because the NFL didn’t tell them about the dangers of concussions and they didn’t provide the medical support and insurance for players after they retired to help them deal with it.

basically should just get rid of the kickoff now..its dumb..some guys only play special teams and thats how they make the team ands help. .

at this point might as well try an onside kick everytime..not a ig diffeence if they get the ball on their own 45 or 25. .

Either do the xfl rule or the Schiano proposal (replace kickoffs with a 4th & 15) if you convert, you keep the ball.

All true. But UFC/MMA is the fastest growing sport for a reason. And boxing is enjoying something of a renaissance. NFL remains king due to the other of man's vices- gambling.

I hated being on kickoff and especially hated kickoff return with a passion. Returns is where alot of people I know got concussions, including me. Nobody on any squad I ever been on liked returns except the actual n*ggas that got the ball. Well sometimes it was n*ggas that was called special teams "specialists". These dudes wouldn't make the squad unless they dedicated theyself to being special teams dummies. Some of them loved it cuz it's the only time they saw action

But overall nobody likes special teams. Most fans don't even give a sh*t about kickoffs or punts
