What yall think about this beat battle sh-t?

So, some of the OG's know I've gotten some placements in the industry years and years ago. Nothing major, but it was like a 15 year hiatus from making beats. I saw a couple of my homies enter this beat battle league and it really got my energy going again.

I entered the league in November and came out with a championship belt last month. What y'all think about this beat battle sh*t?

I feel you, but in the battle, performance can be half of getting the dub.

i've seen some where the competitors make the beats live with buttons and keys and CD scratch turntables etc - and it's way better

Whatever works indeed

Probably not too good that 90% of the actual crowd is off camera

They're gonna have to get some different angles for sure

It'd be a good idea. WHatever kinda sh*t you can bring to the table to add to the element of what you already created. fu*k it bruh check out yo local scene and find a lil dance crew that you can bring along with you to all the beat battles and have em be at the front of the show doin some choreographed sh*t to your joints.

I used to do beat battles out here in Vegas bout a decade ago. Fell off of the scene cause I became dispassionate but I made it to the finals. It's a GREAT way to network.

Also fam, do yourself a favor and make a twitch account. Make your beats live on stream. It's almost a waste NOT TO. I started out in 2021 just rappin/engineerin live on there. I developed a community of producers to the point where I didn't need to produce anymore. I'm like 2000 beats deep no gas. But around a month and a half ago I said fu*k it and started makin beats again. Come through sometime if you got time. And if you have any questions about it don't hesitate to ask me

Really appreciate that man. The league owner is talking about taking the sh*t on the road. We're supposed to be going to battle a set of NY producers in Brooklyn August 5th, so it's gonna be growing.

You're right there's no reason not to live stream the production. It's another Avenue. I'll definitely check your twitch bro.

Beat battles... it's just very subjective.

Most people know what a good beat sounds like.

But... I mean one person could be high, other person could be drunk...

Battle rap brings emotions out with words which makes the crowd react, so Idk. beats can be emotional, and get hype and sh*t. I aint hating on it, it just gotta be regulated af to be judged correctly.

The judging and reaction to clear robberies are priceless.

There's a lot of energy and emotion missing in the OP battle cause my opponent just wasn't ready for me.

The hype for this battle below was so real we actually broke the fu*king floor from jumping, leading to why there's not a lot of crowd in view with the newer videos.

I stay away from beat battles, I had my share of that bullsh*t when I first started making beats. It does nothing for me now. I produce beats to make real songs not wow factor

I did a beat battle years ago and had some of the coldest material definitely should have won but they gave it to a dude making typical hi hat heavy trap beats. sh*t was wack

Damn I know exactly how that sh*t feels. My first battle went that way. n*gga was dancing in my face and sh*t too

I learned right from the first round never to just stand there rocking. Had to start opening up. The room said I got robbed, but after listening back I'm not mad at the decision. Also, I definitely shouldn't have been rocking so hard to his 3rd round

You got any footage?

I understand that thought process, but a lot of these joints are easily reformatted into actual songs. Doesn't take much

Some n*ggas buy them as is too
