Carmelo Anthony made his Knicks debut 12 years ago today. His accomplishments over 7 seasons:

- Averaged 24.7 PPG (3rd highest in NYK history) 7 RPG, & 3.2 APG
- Shot 44 FG% and 37 3P% in 36 MPG
- Scored 10,186 points (7th all-time)
- Finished 10th in FG Made and 3rd in 3PM

I don’t think the Knicks should retire his number. Yes he’s the biggest star Knicks seen since Ewing. Yes he was great for NY on and OFF the court. He had great individual stats and accomplishments but never raised the team success.

Putting his jersey up in the rafters with Earl, Ewing, Frazier, Reed, etc would kinda lower the bar for what you need to accomplish to retire ones jerseys.
