I don't like the fact that you have to play a minimum 65-games to win a major award.
In theory, you can play 64-games, your team finishes 64-18, winning every game you play in and finish as the #1 seed... and not be eligible for league MVP. MVP is not important if there is no money tied to it. So just say that if you win a major award having played less than 65-games, any financial incentive that would be tied to the award is void. (i.e. you can win the award but you can't get a max money extension from it). A matter of fact, tie max money (annually) to the amount of games you play. |

I really don't see the significance of a mid-season tournament.
Star players might just sit out the mid-season tournament and use it as a "load management" break and let the rookies and call ups from the G-League take their spot on the team strictly for the tournament. "Hey rookie I'm going on vacation to Bermuda for about a week, you're starting in my place for the tournament. Go get yourself that extra $500,000." The mid-season tournament could backfire ![]() |

I’m ok with 82, but they have to be meaningful to someone, not just a money grab like it is now. A kid in the east gets a chance to see Lebron, Steph and Ja once a year and vice versa for young fans out west with stars from the east. | |
