While you make some valid points, it is kind of the whole attack a person personally and diminish his concerns.... It came of a little personal tbh... Nobody forced minnesota to make that trade, it's a front office issue not his.... Towns n Gobert isn't going to work against elite teams obviously....Gobert would of been perfect with the way the game was played in the 90s and early 2000s.... You wonder how impactful somebody like Mutombo would even be in today's game, with having to defend in open space like you have to today...

He is providing entertainment, not competing outright. So as far as his concerns go, the only way circumvent that is to be better. It's not full proof but neither is just showing up
Of course it's personal, his game is horrendous. If your own teammates don't like you, why would anyone else? Over the course of his career he's thrown cheap shots at other players, and not taken accountable of his weaknesses
Yeah, he would've been better in a league that required less skill. Throwing the past into this league has little to any bearing. You just said yourself, this n*gga game is 20+ years old
Your modern day Mutumbo's are the Jaren Jackson's, the AD's, the Myles Turner's, etc. There are examples of players who show defensive acuity and offensive competence. Hell, look at Mutumbo's nephew Kabengele. He can shoot, he's mobile, and can defend the rim. It's not much to ask a player to know how to play basketball, and not stuff the lane when you're best player's a slasher. And that's been his problem nearly his entire career
