![]() ![]() You are not an expert but I would like to know your opinion please tell me what do you think about this? How did people manage centuries ago to build such gigantic structures, and without technology? The ancient temple of Kailas (in Ellora, India) was carved out of the rock stone by stone. By hand, of course. Its dimensions are 82 meters by 46 meters at the base and 30 meters high. The structure is a 2,000 square meter free-standing stepped temple complex. It took the Hindus of the Rashtrakut Empire twenty years to build the temple, processing 200,000 tons of stone. This meant that 27 tons of rock had to be processed per day. In addition to this temple, there are 33 sculptures carved in the same rock. Of course, they are carved by hand. Last edited by 5py2000; 03-30-2023 at 09:24 PM.. |

Ppl a*sume there was no tech bc they didn't find any but the proof that there was is obv if the structures would be hard to build currently... Ever see a bike chain left out in open air? It rusts. Rust turns to dust. If the spot is thousands of years old why would machines that made it be still around if they weren't preserved and housed? I would think they had technology of some kind all across the world then catastrophe hit and it got lost in time but not lost to everyone... some ppl know...

there's a long lost productivity that really can only be extracted via the brutish enforcement of dehumanization
n*gga these folks ENSLAVED PEOPLE and would do wild sh*t like hang them upside down from their balls, or tie their balls to a horse and whip it, or r*pe your wife and daughter in front of you n*ggaz didn't have free coffee at the office or 21 paid sick days, or even fu*kin healthcare. they worked you like a dog until you dropped the fu*k dead, threw your body in a ditch, put your sons in the fields, took your daughter in as a concubine and sold your wife into s*x slavery when those are your realities, you'd be surprised how much more sh*t can be made to happen |

I mean I imagine this was the main focus of society at that time to build those crazy a*s structures. Imagine if ALL of our resources and time today were spent on making buildings that define an era. No phones, no hobbies, no sports, nothing. I’m sure we could make some crazy sh*t even without our technology.

Your answer is brutal, simple and most importantly, correct. But weirdos these days would rather live in fantasy land. | |

That math is way off broski
I’m gonna a*sume you meant 274 tons of rock processed daily. That’s incredible. Idk how tf that was possible tbh. We couldn’t do it today if we tried I bet..idk. Maybe we could |

I think a lot of knowledge (aka books) were lost when rulers came through and wrecked sh*t. Genghis Kahn would wage total war and k*ll everybody and burn whole cities down. For example I read that Kahn took over the city of Hamut and k*lled all 700,000 residents in the city. All it takes is for some crazy disaster to last for a few generations and sh*t will break down and be forgotten. Hell, the USA used to have 60 million native americans. They got infected with smallpox and it wiped out almost 90% of the population. It was damn near no trace of them when them folks came back and started taking the rest of the country; almost like a ghost continent when it used to be popping out here. So imagine how much info gets lost when civilizations change. We have to relearn stuff over and over. I be thinking this is just the same story over and over forreal, just different times/civilizations. On some Fermi paradox ish...
