Highly unusual. Officials report the shooting suspect in Nashville at a school was female. Authorities said she appeared to be in her teens. She is deceased. Three students and three adults are dead. Seven individuals including the shooting suspect.

A suspect is dead following a shooting at a private school in Nashville, Tennessee, on Monday, according to police.

The Nashville Fire Department reported that there were multiple patients at the Covenant School, a Christian school for students in preschool through sixth grade.

The number of victims was not immediately clear. At least one person has been hospitalized, according to a spokesman at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Police said officers "engaged" with the suspect who was then declared dead.

No surprise. It’s been 8+ reports of guns being brought to schools in nashville this school year alone. Luckily they were confiscated beforehand. MNPS isn’t doing anything about it and I work in all of the schools. No metal detectors in them besides the alternative ones. And you know who goes to those schools.

Before school shootings were so common in school my high school even had metal detectors.
